One of ProThrowbacks specialties is the ability to make a dull golf tournament exciting. During the past decade, ProThrowbacks has collected a wide range of crazy putters from all over the world that we include as part of our pre-tournament putting contest. Your options is to provide the top prizes or purchase through our retail store. We also provide the professional and charming staff, crazy putters, score cards, distance measuring, and excitement all for one low price.
For Charity Events, ProThrowbacks and staff are willing to sponsor and give their time, effort, energy, and expertise in leading your beneficial program to the next level.
For those looking for fundraising activities, this is a fantasic event that was extremely successful for the Fat Boys Golf Tournament, U.S. Embassy Charity Fund Raiser, and others.
Crazy Putting Contest Rules:
· Register and pre-pay for the Putting Contest.
· Only players of the golf tournament can participate in the contest.
· A hole will be chosen prior to the contest. All players must shoot from the same location to the same hole.
· Each participant will receive a maximum of TWO golf balls to putt. The winner will be determined by the putt who ends up closest to the hole. Putts will be measured and recorded by the Pro Throwbacks staff according to the players putt.
· Top 3 players win a prize. (If the 1st or 2nd place winner has the best two scores, they will only receive the award for their highest honor)
· Practice Shots are NOT PERMITTED with any of the clubs to any hole.
· Players must use only one of the crazy putters provided for the contest on a no-see, no-touch rule, i.e no feeling or choosing of putter during the contest. All will have head covers to deter from visual advantages.
· Ball substitutions will not be allowed.
· Accurate distance putts from the hole to be recorded will be less than 5 feet from the edge of the hole.
· Only one player will be allowed to putt at a time.
· Slight verbal heckling is allowed (no yelling), however, no physical contact or attempts to block the line of putt or the ball itself. Heckling distance minimum 4 feet.
· The first person who scores a hole-in-one shot on first ball attempt counts as "zero" distance. The second shot therefore will be used as a possible tie breaker as needed and will be measured accordingly.
· A scored hole-in-one on someone’s second shot may result in shoot-off if all hole-in-one participants fail to record another shot within 5 feet of the hole. It’s important to concentrate on both shots during the contest for tie breaker situations.
· Time Allowance: No more than 1 minute is allowed for both shots combined. Time starts once a player takes his stance and the time expiration of 1 minute expires upon striking the second ball to the target (roll time not included after contact with the 2nd shot).
